Privacy Policy

Inyeon (the “App”) is an on-device AI companion app provided by Inyeon. The App was designed around one principle: your conversations never leave your phone. This policy describes exactly that.

1. Personal data we collect: none

The App does not collect personal data.

No account — there is no sign-up, login, email, or phone number.
No conversation upload — all AI inference (chat, speech recognition, speech synthesis, memory extraction) runs on your device. Conversations, voice audio, and memories are never transmitted to the developer or any third party.
No analytics or ads SDKs — no usage statistics, no advertising identifiers, no behavioral data.

2. Data that stays on your device

The following data exists only in your device’s internal storage, encrypted with AES-256:

You can at any time: erase everything instantly (Settings → Emergency Delete), set an auto-delete period, or delete individual memories. Uninstalling the App deletes all data.

3. When the App uses the network

The App connects to the internet in exactly two cases, neither of which includes any conversation data:

AI model download (first run) — the App downloads AI model files (~2.9GB). This is a plain file download; no personal information is sent.
Google Play billing — in-app purchases are processed by Google Play. The developer never receives your payment details; Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy apply to that processing.

4. Permissions

5. Backup files

“Create encrypted backup” produces a file (.inybk) encrypted with a passphrase you choose, moved only where you choose. The developer cannot access backup files; a lost passphrase cannot be recovered.

6. Children

The App is intended for users 18 and older and does not knowingly collect personal information from children (it collects no personal information at all).

7. Safety feature

If the App detects crisis signals (self-harm or suicide-related expressions), it offers professional crisis resources (in the US, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). This detection also runs entirely on-device and is never reported externally.

8. Your rights (GDPR/CCPA note)

Because the developer holds no personal data about you, there is nothing for the developer to access, export, correct, sell, or delete on your behalf — all data is on your device and under your direct control with the in-app tools described in Section 2.

9. Changes

Changes to this policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Any change that would introduce data collection (none is planned) will be explicitly announced in the App.
